Famous Firsts - The first hot air balloon 1783 Edition No. 7.

Dated made 1971.

Guido-made in Italy.

Hand Painted.

Comes with letter telling about the piece.

6 1/2" wide x 7" deep x 13 1/4" tall.

The 1st aerial journey into space, 11/21/1783 in a balloon made of embroidered silk.

The upper half is decorated in gold showing the 12 signs of the Zodiac.

In the middle portraits of King Louis XVI and his Dauphin Son, below bald eagles with out stretched wings.

The platform for the pilots is decorated in swatches of gold cloth.

Guido even sculpted the fire - ladin hot air as it pushes off the ground.

The platform steps surrounding the fire pit built in LeParc De La Folie Titon where this took place.

Paper that was shipped with the piece is included.

There are no signs of chips or breaks.
